Job description

Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Partner

One Group. Six brands. Unlimited possibilities.

Six different automotive brands. Group Functions. Trade specialists.

Volkswagen Group is one of the most successful automotive manufacturers in the world, with some of the most iconic brands that the industry has ever seen. But we're also a great Sales, Marketing and Digital operation in our own right. Last year over 350,000 cars and vans were registered from the Volkswagen Group UK brands, achieving a market share of over 22% and confirming our position as the leading automotive company in the UK.

With a global target to be balance-sheet CO2 neutral by the year 2050, we are leading the automotive transition to zero emission battery electric vehicles. We're focusing on key strategic initiatives to help us become the leading provider of mobility services in the UK, digital sales, the next generation of aftersales and new efficient distribution structures to name a few.

We have a unique culture, built on difference and a friendly rivalry that inspires us all. Across our business, we learn from each other, encourage each other and regularly challenge each other to think differently. Our people have a true passion for what they do, a genuine desire to go further for customers and to give their own careers real momentum at the same time.

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our HR team as Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Partner on a full-time, permanent basis. Inclusive workplaces with diverse teams are more innovative, creative and make better decisions and that's what we're passionate about creating. By recognising and respecting our people, we aim to inspire, attract and keep the best talent in a competitive market and provide our people with a safe place to truly thrive at work. It's not about labels, it's about valuing perspectives and thought processes, and that couldn't be more important at a time when we are seeing rapid change in our industry.

Reporting into the Head of Organisation Development and Engagement, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping and rolling out our diversity and inclusion strategy and cultural transformation. You'll bring specialist knowledge and insight into our team and work collaboratively with the diversity and inclusion project team and our employee network groups to move things at pace with clear, measurable results. You'll be focused on implementing change across our employee life cycle, including employer brand, talent acquisition, talent management and career development, employee engagement and culture, and leadership and employee learning. Our board of management place great importance on our Diversity and Inclusion programme and you'll be collaborating and influencing at the highest level.

You'll have experience leading diversity and inclusion projects and be comfortable and confident managing upwards, influencing stakeholders, coaching and guiding our management population and working at pace. We're insights and data driven so you'll be able to turn these into clear and measurable results.

You'll have a real opportunity to make a difference to our business, we're growing, we're changing and we're innovating. You'll be in the driver's seat shaping our business to be an inclusive place where everyone can belong, develop and be at their best.

So what can we offer you? As an inclusive employer we know people value different things, so along with a competitive salary, car, fuel card and discretionary bonus, we offer a wide range of flexible benefits to suit you and your lifestyle, including hybrid working.
