Procurement Manager

Our central Procurement team sits at the heart of our dynamic business, working with all brands, functions as well as with Volkswagen Financial Services and our other prestigious sister companies within the UK. The team is incredibly fast-paced and you'll be joining at an exciting time, with the team taking on more responsibility with a host of exciting opportunities.

We're looking for a Procurement Manager on a fixed term contract. This position will join our pivotal team and be a subject matter expert, responsible for managing the supplier cost and performance drivers within the business and putting in place levers designed to ensure that the company maintain its sustainable profit growth. Our Procurement team look after a range of categories of indirect spend including, but not limited to, Marketing & Media, IT Infrastructure, Digital, Customer Operations, Research & Data, Events, Travel & HR, Professional Services, Logistics and Facilities. As a Procurement Manager you will be responsible for your own category of spend.

The Procurement Manager will be reporting into the Head of Procurement and be key in supporting VWG UK brands, VW Group and VWFS, ensuring that all suppliers are selected and approved in accordance with the companies' Procurement policies and procedures. In addition, you will play a key role in unlocking the value and opportunities presented through an established UK and Ireland Regional Sourcing Committee, linking in with colleagues in our sister brands such as Bentley, Porsche GB, MAN and Scania, to name but a few. You'll need to be forward thinking and proactive, developing strategies and initiatives to ensure that cost saving and supplier performance targets are achieved or exceeded.

This is a broad role and as a result you'll need multiple skills and abilities to ensure that you're a success. You'll be working with purchases for large sums of money and dealing with complex commercial models, so of course you will need a keen eye for detail and strong commercial acumen. With the cross function and cross brand exposure of this role and access to numerous senior stakeholders, you'll need to able to build strong and productive relationships to enable you to influence decisions and maximise value generation for the business.
