Product Development Manager - SEAT Mo

Recently the fastest-growing volume automotive brand in the UK, SEAT offers access to the Volkswagen Group for the younger consumer, many are first-time buyers. Created in Barcelona, and with multi-billion investments in engineering and design, our multi-award winning line-up includes everything from electric vehicles through to seven-seat SUVs.

These are exciting times! SEAT has now created a new business unit (SEAT MÓ) which will offer urban mobility products and services focused in electric mobility. We have just launched SEAT MÓ our first ever e-Moped (125cc equivalent) in Spain and Germany, with plans to roll-out across further markets in 2021.  We are now planning to launch MÓ into the UK market. The new E-Moped, starting in H2, 2021 with a pilot,  before then accelerating into 2022 with full roll-out of our exciting new sub-brand.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our SEAT team on a 6 month contract as a MÓ Development Manager. This role will be responsible for successfully navigating the pilot this year and prepare the way for a full network roll-out at the end of 2021. This role will lead the SEAT MÓ pilot, to test and learn; develop a robust business case, including revenue, cost and resources plans; create a launch plan for full roll-out.

This role requires high levels of entrepreneurial thinking, while balancing pragmatism, you'll be an exceptional communicator and have the ability to influence and negotiate at senior management level. As our MÓ Development Manager you'll be viewed as our subject matter expert managing the supply, sales and aftersales chain support through our network of dealers. You'll have previous product planning and supply chain experience and ideally have a good understanding of the way in which cars and parts are ordered. You will need to be commercially aware and have excellent project management skills.
