Warehouse Planning Efficiency and Operations Manager

One Group. Six brands. Unlimited possibilities.

Five different automotive brands & TPS.

Volkswagen Group UK is wholly owned by Volkswagen AG and is one of the most successful automotive manufacturers in the world, with some of the most iconic brands that the industry has ever seen. But we're also a great Sales & Marketing operation in our own right. We have over 800 permanent employees and a network of more than 1,000 dealerships in the UK. Operating out of Milton Keynes, Volkswagen Group UK sells half a million vehicles every year. In fact, one in every five cars sold in the UK is a Volkswagen Group brand.

However, what really sets us apart is how we work – not how many vehicles we sell. VWG UK has a unique culture, built on diversity, difference and a friendly rivalry that inspires us all. Across our brands, we learn from each other, encourage each other and regularly challenge each other to think differently. Our people have a true passion for what they do, a genuine desire to go further for customers and to give their own careers real momentum at the same time.

Group Aftersales is a team of 2,000 experts, working out of 6 locations and 250 Trade Parts and Body Centres around the UK. Together, we work with our colleagues across the business to ensure our customers remain loyal. Sometimes we lead, sometimes we enable, but always we work to deliver sustainable, profitable, growth.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Warehouse Planning Efficiency & Operations Manager on a permanent basis. This role will ensure the smooth running of the warehouse operations and distribution of parts by coordinating the activities and 3rd parties to ensure that core KPIs are exceeded to with regards to the Group Parts Logistics. You will ensure the parts are received in a timely manner into the warehouse and meet our quality standards, you will then ensure the relevant parts are handed over to the transport company and that they are delivered to the dealer correctly.

You'll have an in-depth knowledge of warehouse and transport management along with managing 3rd party suppliers. Strategic thinking is key to the success of this role as you will be able to think long term; be creative and innovative and have the ability to deliver within budget. Building relationships is key as you will be working with a range of key stakeholders including Senior Management of VWG UK, colleagues in Kassel (Germany) and employees within the warehouse so you need to be able to adapt your style and be able to influence at all levels.

So what can we offer you? As an inclusive employer we know people value different things, so along with a competitive salary, fuel card, car and discretionary bonus, we offer a wide range of flexible benefits to suit you and your lifestyle including hybrid working.

At Volkswagen we are proud to say we have a unique culture, built on diversity, difference and a determination to succeed that inspires us all. Across our brands and group functions, we are striving to learn from each other, encourage each other and regularly challenge each other to think differently. Our people have a true passion for what they do, a genuine desire to go further for customers and to give their own careers real momentum at the same time.
